The 'North District Storytelling Competition' is highly supported by kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in various districts, and student participation is very enthusiastic every session. This session's designated texts include Western fairy tales and mythical stories, as well as Chinese mythical and historical figure stories. At the same time, there is also a self-creation category, with themes ranging from imaginative to sci-fi.
We hope that through the dramatic form of 'storytelling', students can develop their creativity and unleash their potential. In the process, they will discover different aspects of themselves and cultivate good thinking organization and expression abilities.
In the West, Speech and Drama are inseparable. More aptly put, 'storytelling' can be said to be the origin of drama. To tell a story well, one needs good thinking organization, mastery of language, creative eloquence, bodily expression, and more; it is excellent training for participants.
Competition Categories:
Kindergarten Group (K1 to K3)
Junior Group (Primary 1 to 3)
Senior Group (Primary 4 to 6)
Junior Secondary Group (Form 1 to 3) *The junior secondary category is a bilingual performance.
